New Location-Four Brooks WMA Dog Training Area just north of Milaca

Due to Concerns about COVID-19, there will be no Traditional Pot Luck this year.  We will also be requiring everyone to practice safe social distancing guidelines.

Handlers must be both NAVHDA International and Minnesota Chapter members.**

** Non-Member family, friends & observers must sign the NAVHDA Release and Express Assumption of Risk Agreement.  (Non-members are anybody without a unique NAVHDA International ID#).  Membership credentials will be verified at Event.


  • Birds  & Approximate Bird Costs:
    • Pigeons $7.00
    • Quail $8.00
    • Ducks $15.00
    • Pheasants $13.00
    • Chukar $9.00

Bring containers for your birds.   Payment for Birds will be accepted on -site.  Cash or checks to MN NAVHDA. On early Sunday morning attendees will be asked to take possession of the balance of their birds. Participants wishing to bring their own birds are welcome to do so.

DEAD BIRDS MUST NOT BE PLACED IN ANY TRASH CONTAINERS ON THE GROUNDS OR AT RUM RIVER CAMPGROUND.   EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE TO PROPERLY DISPOSE OF THEIR OWN DEAD BIRDS.

All members interested in attending are urged to bring their significant others (and in fact their entire family) to for the weekend. In addition, you may want to bring your dog(s), training paraphernalia, shotgun and shells, blanks (poppers), camping gear (unless you wish to stay at a local motel) and blaze orange vestments.

Chapter President and NAVHDA Judge Pete Aplikowski will be holding some sessions about test requirements, scorecards and some Utility Training ideas.

BITCHES IN HEAT SHOULD NOT BE BROUGHT TO THE TRAINING SITE.

CAMPING IS ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS AT FOUR BROOKS IN DESIGNATED AREAS.  (NO HOOKUPS).  NO OPEN FIRES ARE ALLOWED.

TRAILER CAMPING WITH HOOKUPS IS AVAILABLE AT CAMPGROUND ACROSS HIGHWAY 169 FROM THE GROUNDS.    YOU MUST MAKE YOUR OWN RESERVATION.  SPACE IS LIMITED AT RUM RIVER CAMPGROUND-MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS RIGHT AWAY!
