The class is for dogs from 12 weeks to 12 months of age.

This class uses positive reinforcement methods to teach your dog what it needs before you head to the field. It will cover the basics of clicker training, heel, down/stay, crate manners, recall and retrieving, along with other aspects of basic obedience needed in a hunting dog. This class is for training you to train your dog. Reference documents will be provided for each class to help with the home training. The expectation is you will work with your dog at home for 20 minutes a day, several days a week. If you’re not going to put in the effort, please don’t sign up. The size of the class will be limited to 12.
Tools you will need: Clicker, treats & treat bag, 5-6 foot lead, flat collar, dumbbell style retrieving dummy, kennel & blanket to cover, and carpet square for your dog to lay on. You may also want a 5 gallon pail to put your stuff in and use as a seat for some of the training. Do not bring a grab/pinch collar or e-collars to class.
This is an indoor class, therefore proof of Covid vaccination is required to participate. Masks appreciated, but not required.
