Kelley Farms/Keystone Woods WMA-Hugo, MN

This is the former Kelley Land & Cattle Company which is in the process of being converted to Public land under control of the Minnesota DNR and Washing County Big Marine Park Reserve.

For 2025, this is now TWO separate properties we have arrangements with for access.

A Training PASS is required to be on these grounds, (except the April 26th Intro to Training Day).

KELLEY FARMS

There is a a Residual portion of the property that has NOT yet been turned over to control of Washington County. Minnesota NAVHDA has reserved an Area here for our Member’s exclusive use on MONDAYS and THURSDAYS from April 28th to August 28th. The YELLOW shaded area EAST of Manning Ave on the above map.

KEYSTONE WOODS WMA

The Minnesota DNR is now in control of about 1700 acres that makeup the new Keystone Woods WMA.

The Minnesota Federation of Field Trial Clubs (MFFTC) has a lease in place with the MN DNR for about 330 acres of fields and multiple water sites for Dog Training. The PINK areas on the above map. Minnesota NAVHDA has made arrangements with the MFFTC for our members to have access to these areas in TWO ways:

RESERVED Days in certain areas for our Member’s exclusive use.
- THURSDAYS AFTER 4PM-Area 1 DNR Pond and adjacent fields.
- SATURDAYS ALL DAY-Alternating between Area 1 DNR Pond and Area 3 Barker Lake every other Saturday.
OPEN Training on the grounds 7 days a week anywhere in the Lease area that another Club does not have a reservation. *NOTE*-NO TRAINING BEFORE 12PM NOON Until June 1st.
