Positive Reinforcement Obedience Class

This indoor class is for people who are new handlers or new to a positive reinforcement approach with dogs 12 weeks to 12 months old. It will focus on basic skills a young dog should know before heading to the field.  A positive reinforcement (clicker & treats) approach will be used to teach sit, down, here, heel, whoa, tracking and a finished retrieve.  Basic dog behavior and behavior modification approaches will be taught throughout the class.  This is an 8 week class spread over 10 weeks, on Wednesdays, starting May 18  and ending July 20 (skipping June 1 & 15), at Hooley Hall on the Washington County Fairgrounds 7-9 PM.  Currently there are no Covid restrictions, but masks may be required if things change.  Your dogs should be up to date on shots, including Bordetella.
