This course is generally for dogs and handlers that are past their initial training/exposure and hunting season and Natural Ability Test, and want to learn concepts and methods to work toward becoming a “finished” gun dog team. This course is also highly recommended for any members pursuing testing at the Utility Test level, especially first-timers.
The best results will be obtained by attendees who are willing to take what they learn from this course and apply them at home on their own time in between weekly sessions. We will help you learn how to train your own dog, but we will NOT train your dog for you.
Training Concepts covered will include:
- Heeling
- WHOA-Steadiness
- Introduction to Retrieving
- E-collar tips and do’s and don’ts!
- Utility Test Expectations and Handling tips.
This course is open to chapter members only. Cost will be $175.00
