This is an OPEN day for all members and prospective members.
Check in starts at 9:00am at the NORTH parking lot. For new people or anyone interested, there will be a short classroom session from 9:15 to 10:00am called “Versatile Dog 101-Search, Point, Track, Swim” led by NAVHDA Judge and Chapter President Pete Aplikowski. This session will go over some basic NAVHDA principles of versatile dogs and explain the Natural Ability Test Scorecard, Scoring and Prize Levels.
We will have experienced chapter members available to assist new people and puppies. Work with your puppy on exposure to fields, birds, water, gun and Natural Ability Test segments (Field Search, Tracking, Water).
No grounds pass required. Non NAVHDA members must sign a waiver/release agreement.
Birds will be available for sale. Pigeons $10, Chukar $12, Ducks $20, Pheasant $15. Please bring Cash or Check.
Bring vest, whistles, water bottles, leash, tie out stake.
Blaze Orange must be worn in the field.
